Attendees heard from several members of the leadership group spearheading the implementation of MyWorkday at VUMC.Īdopting Workday and Tecsys allows VUMC to update legacy systems that administrative departments across the Medical Center rely on each day as a basis of their operations and record keeping.
More than 450 people attended the initial virtual Change Network meeting on Feb. There are various roles within the Change Network, such as department readiness leads, change agents, and super users, all of whom will at different stages of the implementation learn about MyWorkday and pass information and support to others in their work areas. This network will be made up of hundreds of employees from all areas of VUMC. Taken together, this extensive transition of dozens of VUMC business systems set to occur later this year took a major step forward in late February with the first meeting of the project’s Change Network departmental readiness leads. The MyWorkday project at VUMC involves the implementation of two new cloud-based systems, Workday and Tecsys. MyWorkday is VUMC’s enterprise-wide project to replace existing business systems and processes.
